Striped Elefant saves elephants
Sri Lankan Elephant (Elephas Maximus Maximus) is the largest subspecies of Asian elephants. Since 19th century, the elephant population of Sri Lanka has fallen almost 65% and currently is considered as endangered.
We at VTS Agroventures, have taken a pledge under the brand Striped Elefant to donate a portion of the profits to the conservation and betterment of this beautiful animal.
Empower women that empowers a nation
At VTS Agroventures, we have shifted the gender ratio of the total workforce for over 80% towards women with the intention of giving more recognition and opportunities to women in the local villages. We make constant efforts to promote women’s sense of self worth and to create avenues of income streams to ensure their ability to make their own choices and to contribute to the community in a larger scale.
Giving back to where it all began
We have exposed the unskilled rural community of the local villages to the first employment opportunities of cinnamon processing in the region. We, as VTS Agroventures, are proud for being able to create direct and indirect income streams in the area and thereby increase the economic activities and to uplift the living standards of an entire community as a whole.
